Canada Tap Water Quality
Canadian drinking water is regulated provincially using Health Canada guidelines. Main concerns are lead from older service lines (common in cities with pre-1960 housing stock), disinfection byproducts, and emerging PFAS detection. Many provinces have active lead service line replacement programs. A certified carbon block filter handles chlorine and THMs; reverse osmosis adds PFAS and lead protection.
