Ireland Tap Water Quality

Irish public water supplies are regulated by the EPA. The main known issues are trihalomethanes (disinfection byproducts) in some supplies, particularly those using surface water, and lead from older household plumbing. A carbon block filter reduces THMs and chlorine. If you are on a private well, annual testing is recommended.
