Singapore Tap Water Quality
Singapore's treated water, including NEWater blending and desalinated supply, is excellent at the source and tightly regulated by PUB. The main practical issues are chlorine residual, low but measurable trihalomethanes, added fluoride, and lead leaching risk from older internal plumbing in some legacy HDB or private buildings. A carbon block filter is mainly for taste and chlorine. Use a lead-certified filter if your building has older plumbing.
