What it does

Plasticiser in nitrocellulose, PVC, and adhesives. Found as a contaminant in personal care products.

Why it’s a concern

DiBP is classified in the EU as a reproductive toxicant category 1B and is on the REACH SVHC list. Toxicity profile closely parallels DBP: fetal testis effects, reduced testosterone, altered reproductive tract development in male rodents.
